In this guide, we’ll show you how to create an iron sword. What you’ll need:
- Crafting table
- Furnace
- Stick
- Stone pickaxe
- Two iron ingots
Step 1 – Gather logs
Collect a few logs by punching out a tree (any kind of tree will do).
Step 2 – Create planks
Using a crafting table, place the logs in any single cell of the grid to create planks in the output box.
Step 3 – Create sticks
Now, place two planks in the center column of the crafting grid, one in each of the bottom and middle cells of your crafting table to create sticks.
(You can look at your numpad, if you have one, and the placement on the crafting grid would correspond to the “2” and “5” keys, which we can refer to as cell 2 and cell 5.)
Step 4 – Mine some iron
0:25 – Using a stone pickaxe, mine two pieces of iron ore. You can generally find iron in caves or mines.
Step 5 – Smelt the iron
0:36 – Place the iron in your furnace to smelt it into iron ingots. You can use the logs you gathered as fuel.
Step 6 – Place the stick
0:54 – Then place a stick in the bottom-middle cell of your crafting table.
(This would be cell 2.)
Step 7 – Place the iron ingots
0:59 – Now, place iron ingots in the middle-center and top-middle cells of the crafting grid.
(These would be cells 5 and 8. )
Step 8 (Optional) – Admire your handiwork
Yep, that’s a pretty good iron sword, wouldn’t you say? All that hard work really paid off. See what happens when you believe in yourself?
Now, let’s put that on the refrigerator so everyone can see. Good work!
