Boots have different durability values depending on the material used to craft them.
Leather boots | 65 Durability |
Chain boots | 195 Durability |
Iron boots | 195 Durability |
Golden boots | 91 Durability |
Diamond boots | 429 Durability |
Netherite boots | 481 Durability |
In this guide, we’ll show you how to create golden boots. What you’ll need:
- A Crafting table.
- A Furnace.
- An Iron pickaxe.
- Four gold ingots.
Step 1 – Mine some gold
0:19 – Using an iron pickaxe, mine four pieces of gold ore. You can generally find mineral veins in caves or mines.

Step 2 – Smelt the gold ore
0:31 – Place the gold ore in your furnace to smelt it into gold ingots. You can use different fuel sources to power your furnace, we use logs since they’re easy to acquire.

Step 3 – Place the gold ingots
0:46 – Now, place gold ingots in the bottom-left, middle-left, middle-right, and bottom-right cells of the crafting grid.
(You can look at your numpad, if you have one, and the placement on the crafting grid would correspond to the “1”, “4”, “6”, and “3” keys, which we can refer to as cells 1, 4, 6, and 3.)

Step 4 (Optional) – Spit shine them
Somebody call the fire department because these golden boots are FIRE! Just look at them!

Almost seems a shame to dirty them up.
Hmmmm…maybe there’s a flight enchantment?
You write that down to look up later as you place your new boots in your inventory.
