In this guide, we show you how to create a wooden hoe using:
- Crafting table
- Two sticks
- Two planks
Step 1 – Gather logs
0:05 – Collect a few logs by punching out a tree (any kind of tree will do).
Step 2 – Create planks
0:30 – Using a crafting table, place the logs in any single cell of the grid to create planks in the output box.
Step 3 – Create two sticks
0:37 – Now, place two planks in the center column of the crafting grid, one in each of the bottom and middle cells of your crafting table to create sticks.
(You can look at your numpad, if you have one, and the placement on the crafting grid would correspond to the “2” and “5” keys, which we can refer to as cell 2 and cell 5.)
Step 4 – Place the sticks
0:42 – Then place two sticks in the center column of the crafting grid, one in each of the bottom and middle cells of your crafting table.
(Cell 2 and cell 5 again)
Step 5 – Place the planks
0:45 – Now, place a plank in the top-middle and top-right cells of the crafting grid.
(These are cells 8 and 9)
Step 6 (Optional) – Gaze hopefully upon your field
Shouldering your newly-crafted wooden hoe, gaze upon your field and contemplate the virtual cornucopia of crops you’ll be farming.
Definitely wheat, perhaps some beetroots or carrots, or maybe potatoes. Yes, you think to yourself. Potatoes will do nicely. Mmmmmm…you can almost smell the baked potatoes.
