In this guide, we show you how to create a wooden shovel using:
- Crafting table
- Two sticks
- One plank
Step 1 – Gather logs
0:05 – Collect a few logs by punching out a tree (any kind of tree will do).
Step 2 – Create planks
0:33 – Using a crafting table, place the logs in any single cell of the grid to create planks in the output box.
Step 3 – Create two sticks
0:39 – Now, place two planks in the center column of the crafting grid, one in each of the bottom and middle cells of your crafting table to create sticks.
(You can look at your numpad, if you have one, and the placement on the crafting grid would correspond to the “2” and “5” keys, which we can refer to as cell 2 and cell 5.)
Step 4 – Place the sticks
0:45 – Then place two sticks in the center column of the crafting grid, one in each of the bottom and middle cells of your crafting table.
(These are cells 2 and 5)
Step 5 – Place the plank
0:48 – Now, place a plank in the top-middle cell of the crafting grid.
(This is cell 8)
Step 6 (Optional) – Happy dance
Ta-daa! You now have a wooden shovel that you can use to dig to your heart’s content.
Commence happy dance 🙂
