Stone axe | +4 attack damage |
Iron axe | +5 attack damage |
Diamond axe | +6 attack damage |
Netherite axe | +7 attack damage |
In this guide, we show you how to create an Iron Axe.
Step 1 – Gather your materials
0:05 – To create a stone axe, you’ll need the following:
- Two sticks.
- A stone pickaxe.
- A crafting table.
- A furnace.
- Fuel for your furnace.
- And three pieces of iron, which you can find in caves and mines. Use your stone pickaxe to mine them.
Step 2 – Smelt the iron
0:33 – Place the iron in your furnace to smelt it into iron ingots.
Step 3 – Place the sticks
0:49 – Now, place two sticks in the center column of the crafting grid, one in each of the bottom and middle cells of your crafting table.
(You can look at your numpad, if you have one, and the placement on the crafting grid would correspond to the “2” and “5” keys, which we can refer to as cell 2 and cell 5.)
Step 4 – Place the iron ingots
0:43 – Now, place one iron ingot each in the top-middle, top-right, and middle-right cells of the crafting grid.
(Those would be cells 8, 9, and 6.)
Step 5 (Optional) – Pat yourself on the back
Congrats! After all that mining, smelting, and crafting you now have an Iron Axe! Give yourself a pat on the back, you deserve it.
You are now much more efficient at chopping things. Use it wisely.
