Swords have different damage values depending on the material used to craft them.
|Wooden sword||+4 attack damage|
|Golden sword||+4 attack damage|
|Stone sword||+5 attack damage|
|Iron sword||+6 attack damage|
|Diamond sword||+7 attack damage|
|Netherite sword||+8 attack damage|
In this guide, we’ll show you how to create an iron sword. What you’ll need:
Step 1 – Gather logs
Collect a few logs by punching out a tree (any kind of tree will do).
Step 2 – Create planks
Using a crafting table, place the logs in any single cell of the grid to create planks in the output box.
Step 3 – Create sticks
Now, place two planks in the center column of the crafting grid, one in each of the bottom and middle cells of your crafting table to create sticks.
(You can look at your numpad, if you have one, and the placement on the crafting grid would correspond to the “2” and “5” keys, which we can refer to as cell 2 and cell 5.)
Step 4 – Mine some gold
0:26 – Using an iron pickaxe, mine five pieces of gold ore. You can generally find mineral veins in caves or mines.
Step 5 – Smelt the gold
0:34 – Place the gold ore in your furnace to smelt it into diamonds. You can use different fuel sources to power your furnace, we use logs since they’re easy to acquire.
Step 6 – Place the stick
0:62 – Then place a stick in the bottom-middle cell of your crafting table.
(This would be cell 2.)
Step 7 – Place the gold ingots
0:67 – Now, place gold ingots in the middle-center and top-middle cells of the crafting grid.
(These would be cells 5 and 8. )
Step 8 (Optional) – Look at the bling
See how the sun just shines off the blade? This is a pretty good-looking golden sword if you don’t say so yourself.
I mean, you won’t be vanquishing foes with one blow with it, but it’s still a pretty enough sword. Excellent crafting!
