Minecraft Iron pickaxe – Crafting guide

Collect a few logs by punching out a tree (any kind of tree will do).

Using a crafting table, place the logs in any single cell of the grid to create planks in the output box.

Now, place two planks in the center column of the crafting grid, one in each of the bottom and middle cells of your crafting table to create sticks.

(You can look at your numpad, if you have one, and the placement on the crafting grid would correspond to the “2” and “5” keys, which we can refer to as cell 2 and cell 5.)

0:26 – Using a stone pickaxe, mine two pieces of iron ore. You can generally find iron in caves or mines.

0:33 – Place the iron in your furnace to smelt it into iron ingots. You can use the logs you gathered as fuel.

0:45 – Then place two sticks in the center column of the crafting grid, one in each of the bottom and middle cells of your crafting table.

(These would be cells 2 and 5.)

0:49 – Now, place iron ingots in the top-left, middle-center, and top-right cells of the crafting grid.

(These would be cells 7, 8 and 9. )

You now have an iron pickaxe. You know what that means, right? Exactly! Now, you’ll be able to craft that jukebox you always wanted!

With a gleam in your eye, a firm grip on your pickaxe, and a song on your lips, you head towards the nearest mine in search of diamonds.
