Axes do attack damage based on the material used to craft them.
Wooden axe | +3 attack damage |
Golden axe | +3 attack damage |
Stone axe | +4 attack damage |
Iron axe | +5 attack damage |
Diamond axe | +6 attack damage |
Netherite axe | +7 attack damage |
In this guide, we’ll show you how to create a diamond axe. What you’ll need:
- Two sticks.
- A Crafting table.
- A Furnace.
- An Iron pickaxe.
- Three gold ingots.
Step 1 – Gather logs
Collect a few logs by punching out a tree (any kind of tree will do).
Step 2 – Create planks
Using a crafting table, place the logs in any single cell of the grid to create planks in the output box.
Step 3 – Create sticks
Now, place two planks in the center column of the crafting grid, one in each of the bottom and middle cells of your crafting table to create sticks.
(You can look at your numpad, if you have one, and the placement on the crafting grid would correspond to the “2” and “5” keys, which we can refer to as cell 2 and cell 5.)
Step 4 – Mine some gold
0:20 – Using an iron pickaxe, mine three pieces of gold ore. You can generally find diamond ore in levels 12 to 15 of caves or mines. This will immediately yield you two diamonds.
Step 5 – Smelt the gold
0:33 – Place the gold ore in your furnace to smelt it into diamonds. You can use different fuel sources to power your furnace, we use logs since they’re easy to acquire.
Step 6 – Place the sticks
0:47 – Now, place two sticks in the center column of the crafting grid, one in each of the bottom and middle cells of your crafting table.
(You can look at your numpad, if you have one, and the placement on the crafting grid would correspond to the “2” and “5” keys, which we can refer to as cell 2 and cell 5.)
Step 7 – Place the gold ingots
0:57 – Now, place a gold ingot each in the top-middle, top-right, and middle-right cells of the crafting grid.
(Those would be cells 8, 9, and 6.)
Step 8 (Optional) – Give it a swing
Finally! You have crafted a golden axe! It. Is. Majestic. Just as you envisioned it.
Not very useful, but still majestic.
Death Adder shall feel your vengeance soon enough.
